Selenite Wands: Pointed or Blunt, Here's How to Choose
Both do real work in a crystal practice. The difference comes down to how you like to move energy, not which one is "better."
Selenite is one of the few crystals that never needs cleansing itself, which is exactly why it's earned a permanent spot in most crystal collections. Ours comes straight from Morocco, known for producing some of the clearest, most beautifully formed satin spar in the world. Smooth, cool to the touch, with a soft glowing white color and a subtle fibrous sheen.
We carry two wand styles, pointed and blunt-ended, and the honest answer to "which one should I get" is usually both. They serve different techniques, not different quality tiers.
"You don't need a fancier one. You need the one that matches how you actually work."
Pointed Selenite Wand
Direction — Precision — Ritual Work
The tapered end is built for direction. If you're tracing along the body during energy work, pointing toward other stones to charge them, or laying out a crystal grid where the angle of each piece matters, this is the wand that gives you that control.
It's also the one most people reach for during ritual or ceremony, where a defined start and end point to the movement matters more than an even sweep.

Sweeping — Everyday Use — Gentle Contact
Rounded on both ends, this wand is built for contact. It's the better pick for gentle sweeping motions across the aura, for holding during meditation without a sharp edge in your palm, or for anyone who just wants a softer, more forgiving tool for everyday use.
If you're newer to crystal work and only want to start with one wand, this is usually the easier entry point.

A few simple ways to bring it into your practice, whichever end you choose.
Clear a Space
Sweep the wand around a room, a crystal collection, or your workspace to reset the energy before you start.
Charge Other Crystals
Lay the wand across or near other stones to let them recharge. This is where a pointed end has an edge, literally.
Meditate With It
Hold it during meditation or breathwork as a grounding point of focus. The blunt end is easier on the hands for longer sessions.
Set an Intention
Hold the wand while stating or writing down what you're calling in. Either wand works; this is about the moment, not the shape.
One care note that applies to both: selenite is soft and water-soluble, so keep it dry. A soft, dry cloth is all you need.
